Face Collage

Above is a collage I did using a bunch of different scans from everyone in the class. At first I was going to make a space themed collage using the eyes as different moons but then I saw the goggle scan and figured I could make a face out of all these scans. I enjoyed doing this collage because there was so many different ideas I had about how putting this face together with the other scans. The eyes were made using the domino scan and the button tray scan. Obviously, the glasses for the face was done using the scan of the swimming goggles. I then took the mustache scan, and instead of using it as the actual mustache, I realized that if you flip the upside down and re-size it a little bit then it begins to look like a mouth. Everything else is pretty obvious about the collage, but I enjoyed doing this because I ironed out all of the techniques used to mash two images together smoothly. This was good practice for my first project and now I have built up confidence with these techniques and feel comfortable actually challenging myself with this first project.
